At Masterji, we believe in transparent, upfront pricing without hidden fees or surprise boutique markups. This page outlines how our rates are structured for home visits, custom stitching, embellishments, linings, and garment alterations.

1. The ₹50 Doorstep Visit Fee

The ₹50 visit fee covers the logistics of our master tailor traveling directly to your doorstep, recording physical measurements, discussing style and necklines, and securely collecting your fabric. You can cancel free of charge up to 2 hours before your time slot and the ₹50 is refunded; if you cancel later, or after the tailor has arrived, the ₹50 is kept to cover the tailor's travel.

2. Tailoring Rates & Variation Factors

Starting rates quoted on our website represent baseline costs for standard garment construction in common fabrics (cotton, georgette, crepe):

  • Blouse Stitching: Quoted custom based on plain, princess cut, padded cups, boat neck, backless, or bridal embroidery requirements.
  • Salwar Suits & Kurtis: Quoted custom based on basic straight cut, Anarkali paneling, heavy flared bottoms, or Pakistani styling.
  • Lehenga Choli: Quoted custom based on semi-stitched assembly, full-circle multi-kali flare, can-can padding, or bridal embellishments.
  • Alterations: Quoted custom based on trouser shortening, waist tapering, dress fitting, or blazer adjustments.

Cost Variations: Heavy silk, velvet, slippery organza, or densely embroidered zari fabrics require specialized microtex needles and hand-cutting, which may incur nominal craftsmanship charges communicated transparently before stitching begins.

4. Payment Milestones & Invoicing

You pay the ₹50 visit fee online when you book. Stitching charges are quoted at the visit and paid online to Masterji (STAGE-X). Tailors are paid by STAGE-X, so please do not pay the tailor directly. Online payments on this website are processed by STAGE-X and can be made by UPI, netbanking, or debit/credit card.

All prices are in Indian Rupees and are the final amount payable.

Frequently Asked Questions on Pricing

Can I supply my own lining and zippers?

Absolutely. You are welcome to hand over your own lining fabrics, antique borders, hooks, or zippers to our tailor during the home measurement appointment. In such cases, only the pure stitching labor charge will apply.

Will the final bill ever exceed the estimate given by the tailor?

No. The written estimate provided on your digital receipt at the time of fabric pickup is the exact price you pay. There are never surprise add-ons or hidden billing fees upon delivery.
